This is an example of why it can't be solved. You've got some uneducated settler from a village east of armpit Turkey poking his muddy paws into this beautiful island.

mistaken again. I am an Istanbulian and you are a villager from a dusty donkey raised village in the middle of nowhere. And no I wouldn't come to Cyprus even for holidays. We've got better beaches.

So whats your connection with Cyprus? Why are you posting here?

THE CYPRIOTS WILL DECIDE ON THEIR FUTURE

Problem is that Turkey doesn't want to allow Cypriots to decide on their own future. If they did, then there wouldn't be a Cyprus Problem to begin with.

What Turkey does is occupying the north part of our country and tries to blackmail us and force us to accept their demands. Negotiating with the invaders is not called "Cypriots deciding their own future".

Cypriots deciding their own future means Cypriots to write their own constitution exactly as they want it, within the framework of the EU laws, and then this constitution to be approved in one referendum.

now Cypriots (Turkish and Greek Cypriots leaders ) are negotiating to find the solution . That both parties in Cyprus will satisfied . Yes there will be referendum and both side of the divided line people will decide .what is good ,what is bad for them ..... not forcing the other side to accept what they are suiting only for their interest and gains .... both sides must gain from it . If u don't want to find solution there is a lot of excuses can be said ..... If ....If ....If ................If ................. no end for it !

In my opinion, the water shortage (notwithstanding this winter's reasonable rainfall) and the prospect of desertification over the long term.
