Bill in your dreams.

It may take 10 years, but it will happen. God help you then.
You will appreciate what we suffered.

Where were you when this alleged suffering was going on? In Lourijina in front of the tanks or in London in front of the telly?

Have to ask.

Can you think of more suffering than watching 3,700 episodes of Coronation Street and Crossroads?

I'll have the tanks.

Bill, you are a B'startd. You pop up like mushroom, feed us a whole Gasha load of Bullshit, get me in trouble with my friends and I am still talking to you. I don't believe it.

I feel the pain of my family, even though I was 2500 miles away in Little Nicosia looking after the ciras in 1974. Someone had to do it, and I drew the short straw.

You will find two of the tanks on the hilltop on the east side of Lurucina, the rest between Lurucina and Gossi.

WTF??? What d'you mean mate, get you in to trouble? Freddy old chap, trust me when I say that all our troubles are of our own making. What gasha of bull-shit? Anyway "it's good to talk".

...oh...and I'd like to think that I'm a nice, gentle sort of basxxtard. :D

Your thread title is "EU questions Tr's commitments" but the article is a comment about a European Parliament debate. Do you not know the difference between the EU and the European Parliament ? They are not the same.

I made a short title.
EU cannot function without a perliament. The report was approved in a vote of 528 in support and 52 against. This doesn't need too much explanation, does it?

Playing with words without giving any attention to the report itself has no meaning. Turkey is giving exams for 3-4 years now and every time she fails.

From RAFAELLA's link ....

Cyprus dilemma stalls Turkey at EU

By FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE ONLINE STAFF 13.MAR.09

A “slowdown of the reform process” in Turkey, for the third consecutive year, has been noted with concern by the European Parliament.

It has made resolutions on the candidate states for accession to the EU and their progress in 2008.

The parliament calls on the Turkish government “to prove its political will” – notably towards democratic changes.

The non-recognition of Cyprus is blocking talks on eight economic chapters, and Turkey is refusing Cypriot ships and planes access to its ports and airports.

A short title which is wrong; a short title which does not say what is in the article. Carry on making up misleading and wrong titles, there's nothing I can do about that other than point them out.

The difference between the european Parliament and the European Union is not a semantic or 'linguisitic' difference ! It is a huge functional, substantive and political difference. Of course I can't make you acknowledge the difference but being able to distinguish between executive, legislative and judicial branches of state is pretty much the 'ABC' of politics. To lump them altogether will just lead you to disappointment and ignorant rage. Your look out though.

The Turkish government is also jubilant about the resolution of the European Parliament. Lazaros Mavros this morning, however, and his usual guests, paid a very dark picture for our side.

How many resolutions have we collected since 1974?

Re Imvros and Tenedos the quote "and to address the problems encountered by members of the Greek minority" is interesting.

By analogy with Cyprus should not the communities of Imvros and Tenedos be deemed EQUAL since there is not such thing as minorities in Turkish thinking anymore?
