Turkish Cypriots are a minority because that’s always been THEIR wish. They often remind everyone that they are “A separate people with a different language, religion, and culture!” and we believe them!

But don’t take it from me… take it from the Secretary-General of the United Nations in 1965 who described the policy of the Turkish Cypriot leaders in this way:

"The Turkish Cypriot leaders have adhered to a rigid stand against any measures which might involve having members of the two communities live and work together, or which might place Turkish Cypriots in situations where they would have to acknowledge the authority of Government agents. Indeed, since the Turkish Cypriot leadership is committed to physical and geographical separation of the communities as a political goal, it is not likely to encourage activities by Turkish Cypriots which may be interpreted as demonstrating the merits of an alternative policy. The result has been a seemingly deliberate policy of self-segregation by the Turkish Cypriots"

(UN document S/6426).

U r as shrewd as Makarios and u r doomed to fail as much as Makarios failed. U took an excerpt from a report submited by so-called RoC to UN and behave as if a smart a** you are.

106.The Turkish Cypriot leaders have adhered to

Government contends that the hardships suffered by the Turkish
Cypriot population are the direct result of the leadership's
self-isolation policy, imposed by force on the rank and file. The
Turkish Cypriots assert that these hardships are designed by the
Government to pressure the Turkish community into submission and
to destroy politically and that Turkish Cypriots are at one in
their determination to resist.¬

I didn't deny the existence of such a report. I revealed how u skipped the previous parts of the report which explains what led TC leadership to that political stance.

As it was proven during the talks of 1967-74, the sole aim of the Hellene's ruling class was to degrade TCs into minority status. Why should TC leadership waste it's time by runing in vicious circles while they were 100% sure that Leadership of Hellenes would never accept political equality of TCs?

TCs in cooperation with Turkey kept negotiating to solve the Cyprus problem just in little hope of "maybe" and not cause a crash in western alliance. TCs and Turkey still patiently draw a low profile regarding their position towards solution but maintaining a low profile won't last long. We r coming to it's end.

Dont worry Insan, we do have alternatives. We can vote to join the Turkic Union - Northern Greece, Turkey, Azerbijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakista, North Iraqistan and the Ugurs of China. That will be about 500 million people.
We know where we are not wanted.

Did the UN have anything to do with the creation of Israel? If the answer is yes, I dont belive in all of them. They are not infallible.
