I see you've graduated from the TC education system of misinformation where...

The bad "Megali Idea" was Greece’s attempt to annex Greek populated Ismir and surroundings, and the "Good Idea" was the Ottoman Empire which forcefully expanded to three continents!

whats wrong with "european solution"?why does turkey and t/c want it but cant deal with it?

I looked back just to mention what was the aim and what had been the result. Since the aim is same, making TCs a minority in Cyprus; TCs will struggle against it in order not to become a minority in their homeland. There's nothing wrong with European solution as long as 2 communities share power 50/50 on legislative and judicial bodies. Otherwise "European Solution" as how TPap and his followers dreamed is doomed to be rejected by TCs.

Lecture 14: Greek nationalism, the "Megale Idea" and Venizelism to 1923

[youtube]Extreme Greek territorial claims resulted when the geography of classical Greece was applied to modern maps. The result has been conflict with Albania over Epirus, with Serbia and Bulgaria over Macedonia, and with Turkey over Istanbul (Constantinople), the western coast of Anatolia and islands from the Aegean to Cyprus.

Turkish Cypriots are a minority because that’s always been THEIR wish. They often remind everyone that they are “A separate people with a different language, religion, and culture!” and we believe them!

But don’t take it from me… take it from the Secretary-General of the United Nations in 1965 who described the policy of the Turkish Cypriot leaders in this way:

"The Turkish Cypriot leaders have adhered to a rigid stand against any measures which might involve having members of the two communities live and work together, or which might place Turkish Cypriots in situations where they would have to acknowledge the authority of Government agents. Indeed, since the Turkish Cypriot leadership is committed to physical and geographical separation of the communities as a political goal, it is not likely to encourage activities by Turkish Cypriots which may be interpreted as demonstrating the merits of an alternative policy. The result has been a seemingly deliberate policy of self-segregation by the Turkish Cypriots"

(UN document S/6426).
