Why should an airline prostitute it self by ensuring that every seat on its aircraft is sold !!
As for a single being £86.00 it goes to show how little you know about Cyprus airways and their charges.
The single fare of £86.00 does not include taxes , CA being an exception since BA show the actual price including all taxes. So that £86 FOR SINGLE BECOMES £137.00 including charges, the return becomes £259.90 including charges.
My post was on that particular day that I , being a seasoned traveller to Cy , and knowing when to book , BA offered by far the best value for money. However BA today with only 15 seats remaining on my flight have increased their prices to a staggering £451.00 , remember I paid £149.90 per ticket.
Cyprus Airways price today is £259.90 with some 80 seats remaining empty according to a good friend Dinos who is a travel agent.
What business are you in , peddling crap ? or cleaning roads , what a Plonker you are !!
Here is my business mate
www.devonscatering.co.uk , what is yours ,
www.plonkerpaphitiscrap.com
I knew the airfares did not include tax.
Why don't you complain to Hermes Airport(A British Company) and the RoC Government for the amount of tax you are paying. The fact is, Cy Air is only making an average of £86.00 per ticket and so the airline is quite cheap.
Even at £137.00 one way, the tickets are well priced and compare very well with other operators.
You are not the only one that runs a business on the side.
Here is Paphitis' better half business:
www.4frontmediaPR.comWebsite will be up in a couple of weeks.
I dont see your point , are you by any chance under the illusion that you are defending Cyprus !!!!
As for your future website I think you missed out Strategic weapons !!!
Look mate , any Cypriot , any Brit , any single individual has the right to chose the best possible option available when purchasing goods or services . On that day Cyprus airways was by far the most expensive for that particular flight , BA was the cheapest , that is all that is to it. In your rush , like O , to defend anything that bears the name Cyprus , you make a fool of your self and all can see it.
Since you are such a patriot and I have just a "teen pot " little business , how many times have you visited Cyprus in the last 5 years . I will tell you ONCE. !!! Well mate my little rundown teen pot little business has provided me the opportunity to visit my beloved Cyprus on more than 30 occasions. I know , Australia is a long way , besides you cant afford it until that web side is up and running !!!
I do hope you least have a sense of humour to make up for your shortfalls in hard cash , mine is very hard , its all in pennies , all one million of it !!!
No Miltiades, you are the fool for comparing airfares between BA and Cy Air. There is a very simple explanation why BA was cheaper and CA was more expensive during the particular time you wanted to travel.
CA could have been fully booked during this time period and hence the tickets were priced higher. Do you think the dearer tickets might have anything to do with the March 25 celebrations by any chance?
Also, airline taxes are charged to cover Landing and Handling Fees. If your gripe is about the amount of tax on your airfares then you should complain to Hermes Airports.
Here is their website:
http://www.cyprusairports.com.cy/Also Miltiades, you are either a liar or not a very astute businessman. CA should never allow you on their aircraft ever again for falsely accusing them of being dearer than BA, which they are not.
I went to The Cyprus Airways website and proceeded to book flights for London to Larnaca return and was quoted the following:
I was quoted
£259.90 per person return, tax inclusive!
I then went to The British Airways website and did the same and was quoted the following:
I was quoted
£350.90 per person return, tax inclusive!
All flights were ex Heathrow on 20 Mar 09 and ex Larnaca on 25 Mar 09.
CA is cheaper by £91.00.You could have selected to book the cheaper CA flights and thus support a struggling airline and Cypriot jobs as the proud Cypriot you claim to be, but instead you selected a CA flight that was more expensive due to it being over subscribed and then without any shame you proceeded to bash the island's flag carrier by comparing this particular flight with BA, even though all other CA flights are cheaper than BA by a country mile.
Get over yourself. Your false Cyprus bashing will not be tolerated.
You are missing the whole point again. I was referring to the time that I booked my tow tickets , British Airways charged 298.90 for both and CA for the same flights departing om 20th at 9.45 and returning afternoon on 25th March were charging 259.60 and thy also charge once you have clicked the buy now button a further £10.00 per ticket making the total cost rise to £269.60 , comparing that to BA £149.90 THAT REPRESSENTED AT THE TIME an increase of £120 ie 80% more than BA charged.
The fact that as of today BA only have , as we talk now 12 seats available you can understand why their prices have gone up. This morning CA had 80 seats available .
