The US is in serious trouble in Afghanistan and so has embarked on an S.O.S mission by courting anyone and everyone who might be able to help them save face from defeat against the rag-tag Afghani camel riders who bow down to none.

So far the courting includes Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, and Russia, and this debacle is going to cost the US heaps and Russia will most likely reap most of the rewards from this.

Actually the problem is more severe...with the US expedition into Afghanistan, you are witnessing the talibanization of Pakistan...and this is the real problem facing the yanks...

As for the American haters how dare they insult """ a longtime strategic partner of the United States and continues to be so in the Global War on Terrorism."""

As I have posted on at least 1000000 times , Cyprus is part of the West , America IS our partner !!!!
Oh boy , has this made my day or what !!!

LONG LIVE OUR GREATEST PARTNER THE USA !

Had there been a Cyprus embassy in Afghanistan, the Ambassador’s website intro would've probably went…

"Cyprus and Afghanistan are bound together by common values, ideals, and interests and have a history of working together effectively to counter threats to peace, security, and our shared values. Pivotal in this relationship have been our joint efforts to fight threats from Western imperialism."

Ever heard of lip service Milti?

I was reading an article recently about some Russian soldiers who defected to convert to Islam and join the Taliban during the soviet invasion! I wonder how many Bush-disillusioned yanks will do the same… Image

Wrong as usual. His first visit outside the Americas will be to EU States. Obama's visit to Turkey will be the first official state visit to a Muslim country.

Cyprus is a longtime strategic partner of the United States and continues to be so in the Global War on Terrorism.

Cyprus and the United States have a strong relationship going back, at least, to the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, when Cyprus provided the staging ground for the United States' evacuation and rescue efforts.

Throughout the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Cyprus has provided over-flight and landing rights to United States aircraft and port access for United States ships. Approximately 800 U.S. military flights have used Cyprus's airports, transporting troops and cargo to Iraq.

Milti, there is a big differance between fighting international terrorism and supporting Israeli Ethnic Cleansing and war crimes like you do.

Eat your words mate , I was RIGHT all along and you know it , don't try to bring the Israeli nonsense into it , furthermore I have never supported either ethnic cleansing or war crimes .

What the hell are you talking about?

You were right about what? The fact that you support Israeli Ethnic cleansing and War Crimes and then you criticise Turkey for her invasion of Cyprus in the same breath. You are just a pathetic contradiction....

Eat your words mate , we are talking about this , you posted it remember , its not about Israel Plonker its about the greatest nation on earth , after Cyprus , and us , little old Cyprus :

Allies in the fight against terror

"Cyprus and the United States are bound together by common values, ideals, and interests and have a history of working together effectively to counter threats to peace, security, and our shared democratic values. Pivotal in this relationship have been our joint efforts to fight threats to global security."

Can you see any mention of Israel here ?
Milti was right all along , as for you and particularly Plonker GR YOU WERE BOTH WRONG !! I forgive you , you are just too young and naive "!!!

Where did anyone say that the Cyprus and the US were not allies? :?

It is our intolerance to injustice you have a problem with. Some people have morals and do not sell their soul to the almighty and powerful when they perpetrate crimes and injustices against innocent people.

Australia is a US ally as well. But most Australians understand right from wrong, and the Iraq War does not have public opinion on its side.

Don't waste my time! IDIOT!

You are a young arrogant utterly illiterate when it comes to diplomacy , you take pride in believing that a few years in the armed forces have made you an expert in military affairs when in reality you are still a boy indulging your self in childish war games , when you come across someone that can see right through you your revert to insults because frankly boy you do not have the bollocks to take a man on , you do quite well with the other Plonker but you know that your only weapon against me is insults. How dare a little plonker like you call me an idiot .
You got it wrong with America , not only you but practically most of our compatriots who failed miserably to support their own government and its position concerning our relationship with the USA .
The mainland Greeks infected us with the Americanico daxtylo syndrome , you fell for it and so did many many more. Milti has stood up to them telling you that we should support those powerful enough to be influential in securing the freedom , unification and justice for Cyprus.
You are more interested little boy in your pathetic war games , now suck your thump read a comic and when you grow up and stop sulking when you have been exposed to what a plonker you are come back and debate .

So now I am extreme left! I suppose Anastasiades is extreme left too, according to the logic of this Christos moron. How does he know I voted for Christofias? He is smart enough to know that I did not vote for Papadopoulos, it seems, but this is as far his intelligence can take him. Everybody in this forum knows who I am and what my political affiliations are and this manure spreader is still trying to figure out who I am. Unlike the bash patriots who declare their cyber courage at every opportunity but conveniently hide behind nicks, I have had my photo published on the forum several times, even when the witch hunt was on during the ambient bloody atmosphere times of Papadopoulos when "democratic" members of the forum threatened to tell my boss of my heresy.
