So if South Cyprus, being closer to Africa, is geographically in Europe, so is Turkey.

Cyprus is a longtime strategic partner of the United States and continues to be so in the Global War on Terrorism.
Cyprus and the United States have a strong relationship going back, at least, to the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, when Cyprus provided the staging ground for the United States' evacuation and rescue efforts.
Throughout the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Cyprus has provided over-flight and landing rights to United States aircraft and port access for United States ships. Approximately 800 U.S. military flights have used Cyprus's airports, transporting troops and cargo to Iraq.

So guys here you have it , Milti WAS RIGHT all along.
As for the American haters how dare they insult """ a longtime strategic partner of the United States and continues to be so in the Global War on Terrorism."""
As I have posted on at least 1000000 times , Cyprus is part of the West , America IS our partner !!!!
Oh boy , has this made my day or what !!!
LONG LIVE OUR GREATEST PARTNER THE USA !

Of course we did announce that we will open an Embassy in Havana and yesterday, we learned that we did a business deal with Iran. Will someone tell us, for the second time, "God help you and your people"?
Oracle wrote:denizaksulu wrote:What has this news got to do with Turkey?
Simple:
Turkey is trying to portray itself as a major negotiator in this region of the World, but Cyprus is:Cyprus, with its nearest coastal point only 60 miles (less than 100 kilometers) west of Syria, has traditionally been close to the Arab world.
.... and the cherry on the cake which makes Cyprus even more appealing, as the one and only necessary bridge:But the Greek-majority island is geographically part of Europe and joined the European Union in 2004.

Milti, there is a big differance between fighting international terrorism and supporting Israeli Ethnic Cleansing and war crimes like you do.

Don't be so humble. A big important country like Turkey shouldn't need tiny Cyprus to help it define itself of where its place in the world is.

I would like to be humble regarding this. Sarkozy needs very basic if clauses to understand some geography:
If South Cyprus is in EU, it is in Europe.
If South Cyprus is in Europe, Turkey is Europe.
this one is to the Greeks:
If Turkey's Anatolia is called Minor Asia, how come South Cyprus is Europe and what the hell is it doing in EU? Consistency is a virtue.
