can you tell me why the YKP party of Kanatli is boycotting the elections?

"Yeni Kıbrıs Partisi (YKP), “Çözüm sandıkta değil, sokaktadır” dedi."
This was their announcement. Which roughly translates to " The solution isn't at the ballot box, its in the streets", what ever that means.

Reading a little further, according to Kibris, they object to the settlers voting in the elections.
