Signing any agreement with Turkey is rather pointless, as they come up with ever more imaginative ways of interpreting it so as to suit its interests.

Yeah, just for the sake of keeping Greece in NATO...

And what do they offer to keep Turkey in NATO? ... or does Turkey beg and pay to be kept in?

They promised Turkey to fix Cyprus problem on the basis of Turkish thesis after finishing their job on Balkans. First attempt was Annan Plan but failed. We r impatiently waiting for the second attempt.

Keep waiting fantasy fairy. The balance of power is shifting and no one in the West is interested in Turkey and her Expansionist aspirations .....

DT. wrote::lol: ok, lets try again.

with the 2 articles of the treaty I gave you....is Turkey in breach of the treaty at this moment in time or not?

And by the way the ex-president has stated on numerous occassions that the treaty of gaurantee died when Turkey breached it.

DT,
The implication of the bit highlighted is that you think that once a part/article of an instrument of law has alleged to have been broken then the whole instrument is 'invalid', that is to say, no longer has force ? Is that what you mean ? Just wondering.

The party that has been in breach of an agreement, cannot later claim any recompense regarding said agreement (in this case Turkey, cannot now turn round and claim its validity). But the victim/innocent party, can still lay claim to any part of the agreement it so chooses :D
