with the 2 articles of the treaty I gave you....is Turkey in breach of the treaty at this moment in time or not?

And by the way the ex-president has stated on numerous occassions that the treaty of gaurantee died when Turkey breached it.

Well he would say that, wouldn't he?

you just asked why the President never declared the treaty dead and I answered.

I don't mean to be rude or anything but...are we a little slow today?

I never said why he didn't say it. I said why he took no legal action to declare it null and void.

Is that the Glapsides beach or Salamis in the background of that lovely picture?

The whole world knows that the Turkish invasion of 74 is illegal, Turkey occupies Cyprus for strategic interests, even some Turk cypriots are beginning to wake up to this fact and realize that the embargo and isolation is by the Turkish army not the Greek cyps.

(Hi and welcome Wyoming)

... a question in my mind; are the Jurkish Army really the "protecters" or should they really be seen as the prison guards?

As usual u r confusing intervention with invasion. Had 40.000(NG+Eldyk+reservists) of Hellenic forces not resisted and engaged into a combat with Turkish forces; the intervention of Turkey would have been limited with those irrregular guerillas of EOKA-B.
