If US crumbles into pieces that would follow the crumbling of EU in the meantime. Where would u put Turkey and Cyprus in such a case? How such a case would affect the new world order?

If the US crumbles the EU would get stronger. You seem to forget why the EU was set up. As a direct competitor of the US. The Euro is replacing the Dollar.

But I don't think the US will crumble, under Obama I think it would achieve the right balance and come out healthier and more co-operative.

It is Turkey that will crumble .... and it has made so many enemies, no one will help them.

Get real.
US farts, EU catches cold. And Turkey will still be there.

Turkey has influenza.

Listen, Turkey after the invasion witnessed its currency go from 30TL /pound to 3000000TL/pond. And survived.
Its your dream that Turkey will collapse and you will get Cyprus back complete.
Perhaps in 3billion years, may be, who knows.
Turkey has the most precious materials on earth. Food and Water. Oil will end sooner or later.

I think you have totally misunderstood , misread an misinterpreted my post in response to GRs post on this thread. Suffice for me to say that if proof was needed that certain members of this forum DO NOT WANT RECONCILIATION , then this thread along with all those that rushed to bite my head of for suggesting that maybe is fucking time we burried the hatchet , took our arses out of our cesspot and concentrated on rapproachment with our compatriots , and they with us.
The incessant "recollection " of horrific events that occured in the past serves only to inflame passions , increase non tolerance and provide the partitionists with the utmost of reasons as why our island should remain divided.
Jumping down my throat mate does not for one second dictate my views, which are that for as long as we are prepared , G/Cs and T/Cs to continue with highlighting the past atrocities , our nation will continue to be divided and the consequences of which would be dire for the entire island , Turkey introducing more and more settlers , and its f..k all you or any one else can do about it , so sooner or later the population of the occupied part will be far greater than the population of the RoC.
The T/Cs DO NOT like the settlers any more than you do but they would rather have Turkish settlers than G/C extremists who have no empathy or forgiveness in their hearts.
Yes we suffered and yes they suffered , what is the purpose of a continued barrage of reminders of the horrific acts that took place in the past.

I don't always agree with Milti but on this occasion and for what its worth I endorse every word he has written above. Our "enemy" is Turkey not the Turkish Cypriots. Starting posts such as this kicks off the usual see-saw of past atrocities and simply drives the Turkish Cypriots towards Turkey. We all know that both sides commited murder in cold blood, what's the point in these constant reminders. You will never achieve a solution to the Cyprus Problem by telling the other side how bad they are. Recently a majority of Turkish Cypriots demonstrated empathy for Greek Cypriots over the our property rights in the north, it's about time some of the neo- Eoka boys on this site did the same.

I am sure Turkey will survive, but not they way you expect.

The pressure on Turkey is only going to increase, and it will be forced to play ball or else! Don't think for one second that Turkey's EU path is negotiable or is something you can back out off.

Someone else makes the rules and you follow.

Is it not the US that is cracking the whips for Turkey to become an EU member so as to control and keep Turkey in line and not be gripped by Islamic forces?

The US (under Bush) was supporting the entry of Turkey into the EU for the benefit of no one but the US. It was setting the cat amongst the pigeons. By forcing the EU to accept Turkey, it was hoping it would destabilise the EU - its competitor.

If the US wanted to control Turkey for Islamic reasons, it could do that without making it part of EU.

Nope, it is the EU, the competitor to the US, that Bush wanted to destroy by using Turkey as a cannonball.

Phew! Now he's gone, I reckon Obama is more pro-co-operation centred and the EU and US can mutually benefit each other.

Which means Turkey is left alone to splinter ....

US policy on anything has not changed in 50 years no matter which government. Dream on.

Glad you see it as it should be seen by all.
I have posted on numerous occasions that the way to get our island united is through the only power that Turkey will listen to. The voice of the T/Cs .
Someone mentioned how bad it would be for Cyprus if every one was like miltiades .
Well Miltiades is a family man , committed to a united Cyprus achieved through peaceful means , stands for one man one vote , justice for all and recognition that this island is the home not only of the G/Cs but the T/Cs also . Inflammatory posts only achieve what they are meant to achieve , continuation of the schism between our people. The T/Cs must see that their home is Cyprus , draw away from the occupier and become an integral part of this island.
Horrific events occurred against all of our people , lets have no more conflict .

Is it of a similar magnitude such as the one you recently had when you boasted of your ambition to see Kyrenia become a charcoal grey colour ?
Do you think my grandchildren would have a safe future in Cyprus if all Cypriots were GRs and Paphitis ??
Do you want to reminds us again that a nation of half a million people can defeat an army of 6 million !!!!!
