It might only be St Mirren, but they were thrashed 7-0 a week earlier in the league to the same opponents.
Today another Turkish Cypriot, Leon Osman plays for Everton against Middlesbrough in the F.A. Cup sixth round.

Leon Osman (born 17 May 1981 in Billinge Higher End, Wigan) is an English[1] professional football player currently playing for Everton. He grew up in Skelmersdale and Huyton. He also went to Up Holland High School and Winstanley College. Osman is eligible to play for England, Turkey or Cyprus, as his father is a citizen of the non-recognised Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and thus of the Republic of Cyprus.[citation needed]
