It was not only GCs that did not allowed us to stand on our feet...Actually they hace no fault on this situation at all..They had the right to ask for isolations and they did..The real problem in Cyprus was caused by Turkey..Who lead to closing all the factories and brining Cyprus everything from Turkey and encouraging more and more people to work for goverment so goverment itself can not pay them and had to ask money from them...This is so simple Turkey ruled the TRNC like this for years and some TCs become greedy. Even when a law is changed cutting wages according to EU standards they all fricked out...I am quite sad to see my community was fooled by money and get under control...

I reask my question how do we break that chain if the GCs do not allow us to become economically independent of Turkey?

I reply by asking you another question ? Did the goverments wanted to become economically independent of Turkey ? What kind of plans and suggestions did they raised to have a stronger economy ? Why did they killed economy by creating too much different between people working fro goverment and fro private companies ? Why they were stupid and stubborn to change the stamp in 1998 that lead to ABAT decisions and clousure of Famagusta port..See who killed economy..We could well be in a better condition If we were not fooled by Turkey and the goverments in Cyprus!!!

Were we not exporting anything till 1998 ? Sice we changed the stamps on customs for foolish nationalism and leading to ABAT decisions blocking any export from Famagusta port ?
