this credit will use all sectors of the TRNC economy .

yet again we get pregnant by Turkey.....

Halil..
How are you planning to pay back these credits loaned by Turkey?

ps...Considering the general elections coming up next month, the timing of this credit stinks...
looks like CTP is being favoured by Turkey once again.

iceman, every year; in March or April the financial support of Turkey for TRNC is put on the agenda. It does not seem like something related with the upcoming elections. Moreover, why do u think we would become pregnant to RoT because of her financial support to us?

maybe you would like to tell me how "we" will pay back..

It is not a loan, iceman. It is a periodically given financial support from Turkey to TRNC under embargoes. It is a well known fact that after 1964, without Turkey's financial support we couldn't maintain our economic and financial affairs with our limited financial resources.

Every single cent sent from Turkey is written down as a loan...no freebies...
If you remember as back as 2003 when there was the a possibility of a settlement, the Turkish foreign minister of the time did let it slip away that if there is a settlement the Turkish Government will ask back for ALL the money+interest loaned to TC's since 1974.

by making more childrenes

Halil
Unfortunately i cannot be as cheerful as you are,my wages are not paid by the government at the end of the month..
If it goes on like this i will be closing down my business in the next few months and i know at least half a dozen shops around me going down the same route.
This government has killed the private sector just to be able to afford to pay its overcrowded, useless civil servants.

I've never heard of such news. However even if it is the case; one day I hope we can pay all our debts to Turkey. Still I see no problem getting financial support from Turkey. What would have been the situation if Turkey hasn't provided financial support for us; have u ever imagined?

3 years ago I think, crashed on Greece, no survivors, horrendous event.

When was the last time a CTA plane crashed?

Hmmm let me think....

Well Shah...

I am not one to bullshit like GR! does.

The RoC has not qualified for JAR or certified by Europe's Joint Aviation Authority (JAA). They do not meet the regulatory criteria.

On the other hand, Greece is part of the JAA and is JAR compliant. Turkey is JAR compliant but not yet a JAA affiliate as it is not an EU member.

Therefore Cyprus is below par when compared to both Greece and Turkey as far as the European standards are concerned.

However, operations into ERCAN are not compliant of anything.

Have a nice day!

Well thats true, but practically speaking, results speak for themselves.

Ercan's problems are political, what's your excuse?

Well actually, I don't think Turkey is in a position to be proud of it's Safety Record when compared to that of Cyprus although I grant you the fact that the RoC's Regulatory Body is nothing more than a third world whore house full of mind numbing Cypriot Public Servants with no Aviation background....

I stand corrected.

It appears that Turkey has also become a full affiliate of the JAA... :?

I thought CTA was the airline in question here.

But yeah, Turkey does not have a very good record, but then which developing country does?

I truly hate flying.
