I am a UK citizen and would like to make a driving licence because i find it difficult to pass the test in the Uk, does anybody have any suggestions on how to make a cyprus driving licence then converting it into an international licence, the least hassle possible please and any shortcuts would be appreciated. I am living in larnaca at the moment and am leaving soon so please don't hesitate.

No short cuts I'm afraid..
Firstly, do you have a UK provisional licence.. If yes, I believe you will have to swap it for a Cypriot provisional... If no, then you will have to be a resident for a minimum of 6 months before you can apply for one...
Then you can do an intense course but this will not be cheap, and you will still have to wait for an examination date.....

Maybe you should sign up for an intensive, guaranteed pass course in the UK? At least then you would be a safer driver, why would you want shortcuts when you are then basically in charge of a lethal weapon???

I totally agree with you... If you fail, it's generally for a good reason!!! And whats to say the test is easier here anyway..... In UK I would have thought 90% of the test would be in traffic at standstill...

If you cant pass your test you obviously shouldn't be on the road!

Don’t waste your time with an international DL. These are temporary to cover you when overseas but cannot be converted to anything. Surely a conversion from Cypriot to British should be direct… no?

I believe GR is right if you have a 'full 'Cy DL this can be converted to a UK licence
