shahmaran, lemme put a full stop to this over thousands of times discussed vicious circle.

The name of The struggle has always been Self Determination Right of GCs VS Self Determination Right of TCs. Since we struggled with the aim of achieving our goals; i consider that no one made mistakes. In this struggle the heroes of one political group r considered traitors of other political group. The rights and wrongs also go same way depends on ideology and view point of different political and ethnic groups. Both communities and some different political groups within these communities struggled in direction of their beliefs. All what we have gone through and the current situation is the consequence of this struggle.

It is a clearly seen fact that GC administration has been the only legitimate representative of Cyprus since 1964 just because primarily US; besides majority of Nato countries didn't want to loose Greece as a significant Nato member because of their interests on Balkans.

As for the current situation; Greece with GCs occupy 61% percent of Cyprus with an advantage of having the benefits of being recognized as the legitimate representative of Cyprus, Turkey with TCs occupy 35% of Cyprus with a disadvantage of not being recognized legitimate.

In my opinion, what we TCs primarily should focus on is questioning why we have been unjustly treated since 1964. We know the reasons behind it. We know why US and majority of Nato member countries recognized GC administartion legitimate.

There's no cold war era anymore and I don't believe Greece still has a significant role in Balkans. So, we must loudly put this issue into the agendas of US and other Nato members. The only mistake, that was then inevitable has been done by those Nato member countries and US. Now it's time for them to correct their mistake.

U r ignoring the fact that u have been residing on a territory that was our common land before 1964. U have been illegally occupying the private property and TC share of state land since 1964. 60.000 TCs became refugees by fleeing
EOKA-B terror that was active and untouchable till 1976.

As for EOKA ... your problem with them is the guilt you feel that they (partially) freed Cyprus from British rule, and so that looks to all the world, that the Greek Cypriots did feel for Cyprus more, and were prepared to die to free Cyprus ... so guess what?... Maybe Cyprus is the only native homeland of the Greek Cypriots!

EOKA members died for Cyprus at the hands of the Brits didn't they? I don't recall the Brits saying the Turk-TCs "terrorised" them out of Cyprus, to gain Independence!
