Didn't the Odeon at Finsbury Park become something like a concert hall later? I have been to the cinema there in 1966 (Alfred Hitchcock's Neck Tie Murders) and then in 1976 to see the Edgar Broughton Band.

It became "The Rainbow" for a while and I saw some concerts there ... I'll have to spend some time recalling ....

It had the most amazing foyer ... stars and things way up high... a dome

It's true - my old man used to drop me off at a place in Newcastle town centre on a Saturday morning in the 1960's and it always had a load of dirty old men sitting at the back.
