GC proposals outside the parameters of the Annam Plan?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

i thought these enclaves were in the north so as to prepare partition.

’” end to Turkey's rights as a guarantor country”. = no protection for Tcs = 63-74

and whose gonna protect the GCs?????

And the bit I missed was the spirit.

We saw spirit under Makarios and it didn’t amount to much. Now we got Paps (no tc’s killed 63-74). Great spirit huh?

Quantify spirit[/quote]

after his 13 pts makarios was of the few politicians who did show good will into solving the problem. as mu8ch as i hate to admit it cause i hate the guy because hes a priest and shouldnt have been a politician.

There were enclaves both in the north and in the south. They were mainly formed due to GC attacks against TCs. Erol and others discussed this a lot so I'm not going to repeat the discussion here.

Mr magikthrill

I, also, would have thought that since the enclave were supposed to have been planned by TMT to assist in the future "TAKSIM" of Cyprus that most if not all would have been in the North. About 40 miles from Turkey.

This was clearly not the case. Could some of our GC friends be suggestinf untruths?? Or am I just reading too much into what some of these posts contain?

AND I nearly agree with some of you other points as well.

bologna

let me rephrase it "compared to every other politician, Makarios did show good will to solve the problem" moreso cleaning up after his mess.

makarios never showed any intention of eliminating the TCs from Cyprus in any way. he just thought the 1960 agreements were unfair. after he saw the chaos that was created i believe he showed extraordinary diplomatic skills in trying to solve the problem.

Given it apparently makes not one iota of differnce if I explain my views, why I hold them and the evidence I have that supports them or not - no I do not really care to elaborate.
