Top secret talks document leaked

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Piratis wrote:The TC have no right for any separate part of our island. All parts of Cyprus belong to Greek Cypriots by over 80%.

We are willing to make a huge compromise for federation, not because the Turks have any right for such thing, but because we are blackmailed and some of our leaders (wrongly in my opinion) decided to do so. As it is already said, in a Federation the federal government is elected by the people of the country as a whole, and the federal law takes precedence over any other law in the country.

This even happens in the Swiss confederation:

Swiss Confederation

Art. 49 Supremacy of and Respect for Federal Law
1 Federal law takes precedence over contrary cantonal law.
2 The Confederation shall ensure that the Cantons respect federal law.

http://www.admin.ch/

So the TCs not only they do not accept federation, but they want a confederation which is even more loose than the one of Switzerland. In other words: Partition.

As I said many times we are wasting our time negotiating with the Turks. They will accept nothing short of fully Turkifying the lands that they stole from us. We made a mistake by thinking that making such huge compromises will help to solve the problem. The only thing we managed by making such huge compromises is to make these Turks think that they have rights over the lands that they stole from us, something which encouraged them to make even more outrageous demands.

Just go away.

All Turks out of Cyprus now!

Cyprus is a Greek-EU Island exclusively for the nice kind non-invasive EU-Cypriots ... and none of them are Turk associated.

Turks out!

Serious forumers would be trying to think out the reasons as to why the document was leaked to "Simerini" newspaper, the most nationalist and hard line newspaper which advocates a change of course, other than bizonal, bicommunal, federation. There lies, probably, the secret as to the directions the talks are moving to and those that are beginning to worry in case we agree to a solution. Lyssarides has played this game before. He does not like the talks. He sees nightmares of the Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots living together in peace.

Bananiot, whatever the game being played; do u believe that we would ever find a mutually agreed solution to Cyprus problem? I really don't have any hope. I hereby underlining one significant point once again; even if the population ratio of TC/GC has been 50/50, there would still have been clash of communal interests and on some international issues there would still have been national interest clashes between 2 communities. This is crystal clear to me... It does not worth to waste our times for something impossible. It is better to stop wasting our times and begin discussing abt partition... then we can begin discussing the comprehensive bi-lateral relations of 2 states in all areas. No fears, no tears...

That is good news. It confirms the information that the talks are slow but moving forward.
