We are willing to make a huge compromise for federation, not because the Turks have any right for such thing, but because we are blackmailed and some of our leaders (wrongly in my opinion) decided to do so. As it is already said, in a Federation the federal government is elected by the people of the country as a whole, and the federal law takes precedence over any other law in the country.
This even happens in the Swiss confederation:Swiss Confederation
Art. 49 Supremacy of and Respect for Federal Law
1 Federal law takes precedence over contrary cantonal law.
2 The Confederation shall ensure that the Cantons respect federal law.

So the TCs not only they do not accept federation, but they want a confederation which is even more loose than the one of Switzerland. In other words: Partition.
As I said many times we are wasting our time negotiating with the Turks. They will accept nothing short of fully Turkifying the lands that they stole from us. We made a mistake by thinking that making such huge compromises will help to solve the problem. The only thing we managed by making such huge compromises is to make these Turks think that they have rights over the lands that they stole from us, something which encouraged them to make even more outrageous demands.
Just go away.
