I don't believe I ever described the Ottomans as a "race". That is just you being a racist again!
There is only one race .... the Human Race and we are all part and parcel of it.
My interests lie in the migratory routes we followed and the cultural identities we nurtured because of the different environmental and climactic conditions we experienced over the last 150,000 years since our mother (Eve) left Africa. And the more recent historical and political delineations we derived as we became self-conscious.
Shah I think we are talking at cross purposes again ... you as a racist; and myself as a socio-linguo-genetico-anthropo-historico-cum-politico-philosophi-psychogeolocentred-ologist-ish!
As for the propaganda accusations and my numerous postings; well that's just you handing in the towel when you have lost to me in debate again ... Thus you can add chief-debater to the end of my job description above ...
In one night U Oracle evolved this much?
Yes but that night was 20 years ago, and another story!
..... but I'd love to bring my "memes" up again, but for some reason they seem to make halil and Deniz over-excited
No. It is obvious that last night u completed ur intellectual evolution because it is the first time u built a correct analogy between nations and their cultural identities, environmental and climatic conditions, historical and political delineations...
Before, Turks were ultimate barbarians according to ur Hellenic mentality. No?
See, this is why I brought up memes.
Turks have behaved like barbarians ... that is not up for discussion here, nor has anything that I have said nullified that accusation.
Unfortunately, you seem unable to distinguish between genetic characteristics that we are born with (and can't do much about easily) and the cultural and behavioural characteristics which are mold-able and perfect-able.
Frankly insan, I've tried to have many a discussion along those lines and people just don't "get" the difference ..... and neither do you!
I even had to explain (painfully) to BigAl and Eric Dayi one time, why we as Humans are actually Great Apes and a number of their posts had to be deleted because of the disgusting things they called me for suggesting they were also Great Apes
Anyway ... I've learned it's best to leave the genes and memes out of all this.
Yes, not only Turks but all other powerful empires and kingdoms also behaved like barbarians during their expansionist wars. It would be also logical to argue that the most powerful one was the most expansionist thus the one behaved barbaric for a longer time. Still there is a perfect correlation between the historical era, power of the empire, enmity between the empires, passion to be the strongest, rule the world etc but not the so-called genes of barbarism...

Trouble is insan, most other cultures have given up barbarism, but Turkey lags way behind ... and it has NOTHING to do with genes!
Perhaps its your Memes that are the real problem.
I see a perfect correlation between some mind memes of Hellenes and counter behaviors of Turks, e.g "majority rule", " enmity based on asia minor and related stuff, Ottoman Rule in Cyprus and realted stuff, competition in Western alliance of Greece and Turkey... etc, etc...
