This is a link to the EU Council Directive 2000/43/EC of June 2000 on " implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin ".
This is EU Primary Law which sets out the legal base in the matter of equal treatment of citizens which EU member states have to comply with.
Very relevant to our little "negotiations" and perhaps worthy of our discussion.
