Seeds of Peace

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Seeds of Peace

Postby Ierini-Baris » Mon Feb 23, 2009 7:14 pm

I was an observer in student union elections in UK this weekend. It was a nice enviroment. No fights harsh discussions. I was there to help any TC who wanted to vote in the elections using their legal rights. My observations were:

Every group had flag of Greece except for one :Proodeftiki

Far right is getting stronger

Every GC friend was very goodlooking(time consuming preparation was done ) :D :D :D

Only proodeftiki had English translation of the name in the ballots.

Some TCs voted in the elections individually and most if not all of them voted for Proodeftiki

By the end of the day Proodeftiki won the elections by 30 votes. Almost the same number of TCs that voted for them :D :D :D

Hope the 34 year old constitution will change and I have the belief that it will...

It was a nice weekend where seeds of peace were planted...hope to see the results soon

Glad that you didn't have a problem participating in democratic election, with one person one vote. And as you can see even a small number of votes can make a huge difference in democratic elections and actually determine the winner.

I hope you will agree with me that if those 30 TCs went to those elections and insisted to vote 5 times each, that this would not be something that would help peace in any way.

Those with Greek flags have a chip on their shoulders !!!
The Cypriots that is . Our nation is the internationally recognised RoC which has its very own internationally recognised FLAG and that is the appropriate one to be used by Cypriots .

it is shit because democracy in Cyprus will only wrok for Gcs, not Tcs.

Of coures its one man one vote, everybody now that. But you must no that Tcs will not have sucscess in any part of decent living stadard in Cyprus with the kind of democracy that you wil practice.

How is a Tc ever going to be elected in any goverment offoce in your true democracy. How many Gcs will vote a TC?

This is a dream for you and tcs.
