[Get Real!]

It’s most disheartening trying to challenge Turkey’s moral and legal standpoint while some of our compatriots are cheering on war crimes and the demise of 3rd world countries in other parts of the world.

I find this self defeating and quite embarrassing and it makes the case for Cyprus negligible because it does away with our right to complain if we can afford to laugh at other victims elsewhere.

I guess I can always try to put the humanitarian aspect aside by pretending there are no victims, and just briefly compare the two cases from the technical standpoint so here goes…

CASE #1: In 1974, Turkey invaded and occupied Cyprus armed with an “ambiguous” clause under the UN-blessed “Treaty of Guarantee”.

CASE #2: In 2003, the US invaded and occupied Iraq with no UN mandate and in clear violation of UN resolution 687.

I now ask you all… what’s the probability that Cyprus can ever find justice in an international court of law, if Iraq cannot?

And as if our case is not complicated enough, if you also shoot the judge that might have tried the perpetrators of the Iraqi, Palestinian, and Afgani war crimes, how can he possibly come and try ours?

After all that hard work to just throw in the towel because of one cantankerous Brit's (Miltiades) point of view .... who does not even live on the Island, but just uses it as another money-making venture ... to allow him to divert you from your path to free Cyprus from the Turkish tyranny!

Pull yourself together, he is not worthy of such sacrifice ... he is a Brit! Why should he de-rail the peace-process? ..... and the acquisition of data to confront the illegitimate invasion?

change can only happen with negotiation.every time talks take place the gc throw all their wants on the table and none of them are open to negotiation.how can you negotiate on this basis.this can only mean the gc do not intend to concede anything and will continue the policy of trying to starve tc off the island,the same policy they started in the 50s.well i'm sorry but it aint gonna happen.

Sorry to tell you old boy but you appear to be a novice as far as the Cyprob is concerned, furthermore what the Turks in Turkey do or dont do with the Kurds has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the G/Cs or T/Cs .

If you mock the National Guard like you’ve done so many times in the past, and also make a mockery of international justice with your constant support of war crimes and their perpetrators, then that eliminates two out of the three directions Greek Cypriots can take in dealing with the Turkish invasion of Cyprus…

1. Defend them selves. (Undermined by Miltiades)
2. Seek international justice. (Undermined by Miltiades)
3. Capitulate to the invader. (Only option left by Miltiades)
