Could anyone tell me if a uk citizen can stay 6 months in cyprus without getting any sort of permit or visa?

As far as I know any EU citizen can stay indefinitely in the Free Areas of the Republic. Am I right boys and girls?......

I don't know,but pack some drugs and you will stay longer with free accommodation and full board :P

I think technically under EU regulations you have to register with the local authorities if you stay in another EU country beyond a certain time limit. This would be little more than a formality. The best idea would be to check it out with the Cyprus high commission in London.
