Has the USA made any effort to appease Turkey , who has and still does , put tremendous pressure for the USA to recognise the "trnc" .If Cyprus was but a mere flea as you put it then the USA would have done all they could to keep their biggest ally in the M.E happy.
No , Jerry , the USA IS the power that stops all from recognising the "trnc" by refusing to do so it self .

Might is right? You must be joking. So it's OK for me to shove you if you get in my way because I'm bigger and stronger than you? What happened to the rule of law and the so called "New World Order"? Do you want to go back to the law of the jungle? The USA appeases Turkey every time it sends it a new F16. Turkey is wrong to occupy Cyprus yet still it imports US armaments, that's what I call appeasement. They can't recognise "trnc" just as they can't recognise Jewish theft of the West Bank for legal and political reasons but they do nothing to condemn these crimes.

What did Clinton say to the Chinese the other day - we must put human rights issues aside whilst we sort out this international financial crisis. The voice of a high class whore - money before principles - and the USA is her pimp.

Jerry let us presume for one second that we had the mighty USA totally on our side and that the USA using her might told Turkey to get out of Cyprus or WE SHALL PUSH YOU OUT .
I wonder whether you may still feel that might is wrong.
Listen mate let me tell you something .
I have a customer who spends on average £3000 per month for his 6 restaurants requirements , repairs etc. He calls me and wants an engineer at the same time that Joe Blogs who spends £300 a year .Who will get an engineer quicker mate .This is and always has been human nature.
Nations behave the same way , all apart from Cyprus who plays host to the Cubans today I believe , who has the GRs cursing and demonising America continually, what the F..Ck do we get out of it mate, I tell you a load a bollocks.
Give me might and money and I will give you all the human rights you want !!

You are confusing the power of money with military power. By you logic mighty Turkey has the right to stay in Cyprus because it can.

.
But you say "might is right"

How do we end this occupation Jerry ?

Ideally by agreement in current talks.

Realistically by partition of the island and trading recognition for territory.
