How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby BigDutch » Thu Jun 02, 2005 5:16 pm

Do you accept that the current status quo regarding the presence of the Turkish army in Cyprus is legally "allowed" as per the guarantor rights ?

When i say "bloodline" i mean whether you are of Turkish Cypriot or Greek Cypruit upbringing/background/nationality/family !

Do not trust polls made in this forum.Last time TCs were voting in place of the GCs giving wrong answers on purpose.

Has it enterd you head that a GC poster might have done the same? Its one thing to say do not trust polls such as this as their is no means to verfiy which community a poster is from. It's slightly different thing to say this and add that TC have voted on purpose with the intention of misleading people. Mayvbe I am being overly sensative here to me your post typifies a mind set that TC can not be trusted (but of course GC can). Why mention one side or the other to make your point?

Do not trust polls made in this forum.

Online polls are not to be trusted in general. Also the legality of things are not decided by voting of any kind.
The occupation is illegal, there can be no argument about this, it is not a matter of debate. The debate could be if people think that the results of the occupation can be legalized fully, partly, or not at all.

Erol,
The last case that I came across was clear that TCs were voting as if they were GCs giving answers that not even one GC would do.
This means the same can happen in this poll either from TCs or Gcs.I never said "cheating" is a characteristic of ONLY the TCs and you should not have reacted this way.

MagiK, I belong to the generation which learned the hard way to be extremely cautious and suspicious of everything and everyone.

I felt that you were implying it consiously or unconsiously. I saw no reason or need, in making your point, to put any emphasis on TC or GC doing this. I also admited that I might have been being overly sensative. It would have been a lot simpler and avoided any possible confusion or misinterpretation if you had just said do not trust the validly of these polls (imho) and not mentioned TC exclusively.
