THE SECOND CHAPTER OF CYPRUS NEGOTIATIONS IS SAID TO BE CLOSED FOR NOW WITHIN TWO MORE MEETINGS

The Turkish Cypriot Side envisions to close the second chapter of full-fledged talks on property within two more meetings maximum.
Reports say the property chapter is to be closed for now and the two sides will re-negotiate the rest over the issue when further progress is achieved on other chapters.

Some sources say President Mehmet Ali Talat and the Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias have agreed on the closure of the second chapter for the time being.

The next chapter of comprehensive negotiations is expected to be the `European Union and Economy`.

They must be very close, it makes sense, because depending on other chapters, one side or the other may give more on this one. It makes perfect sense to move.

Oh dear, I suspect they've come up against one of the REAL " realities on the ground" that is that mass appropriation of private property contravenes part of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - that's an immovable REALITY.
