Checking out schools in Limassol

Postby Smiler Brian » Sun Feb 22, 2009 2:44 pm

I want to visit a few schools in Limassol in May with a view to getting our 12yo enrolled. Can anyone confirm the school holiday dates in May please? In UK they are 25th to 29th, are they the same in Cyprus?

We want to visit a couple of private and a couple of Cyprus ones (in the Neapolis area if possible).

I'm visiting for a few days 8th to 11th March if anyone fancies a beer or chat about schooling.

Cheers

My brother has been teaching at the American Academy since 1991 . As I understand from him the school is very good. He informs me that some students were lost to a new school that opened a few years back but that not only are they mostly all back now there is a waiting list .
Will you be looking for accomodation in Neapolis area by any chance ?

Thanks but we already have a flat in the area. We do want a bigger place though, just a matter of shifting the place in Norwich first...getting a job...you know the feeling.

My 11 year old is at English school in Limassol, they dont have a holiday in May at all, as the school year finishes at the end of June, so it depends on what schools you want to visit. You will need to book appointments for the private ones and as someone else said they may be full anyway.

Good luck with wahtever you decede.

no, I meant May. It's just that in UK the kids get a week off for half term. I'm calling a few while I'm over in a couple of weeks to book appointments. Thanks everyone.
