Kyrgyzstan expects Turkey to step up investments to aid and develop Kyrgyz economy
Kyrgyzstan's Premier Igor Chudinov said Friday that Kyrgyzstan was insistent on enhancing relations with Turkey, adding that they expected Turkey to step up investments to aid and develop the Kygryz economy.
Turkey's Energy Minister Hilmi Güler who is visiting Kyrgyzstan met with Chudinov.
Chudinov said they wanted to cooperate with Turkish businessmen not only in the areas of energy, construction of water dams and hydro-electric power plants, but also in utilising Kyrgyzstan mineral resources and coal mines and processing of agricultural goods, meat, milk, vegetable and fruits.
Chudinov said they expected Turkish investments and asked Turkish business circles to acknowledge the visit of Turkish delegation as a signal showing that Kyrgyzstan was open to partnership. He said they were open to cooperation in all fields noting that they wanted to make use of Turkey's experience and know-how.
Güler proposed to set up a techno-park in the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University.
