wrong. Turks in Greece are deprived of their minority rights. It is a crime to declare that they are Turks in that EU country. What a shame.

Both of their corresponding minorities get screwed... it’s what I wrote about in the past; minorities are the curse of the 20th century! UN population exchanges should continue until nobody is left behind in a hostile country. Their insistence that some should be left behind is the indicator of their evil intentions.

If everyone sticks to his own country and stays put there won't be any "minority" problems!

What a fantastic idea. The whole of Greece should be given to the Macedonians, as they are the original Greeks, you know Alexander the Great and all that.

Everybody will use their own guns .............. at the end Turkey will be in EU ....... Cyprus will be Federal united States of Cyprus .......

End of the FILM.

Halil is right to point out (emphasis added) what is basically the Catch-22 of Cyprus. Here is a deadlock in which, whether right or wrong, each 'side' insists that the other gives way first. Instead of perpetually going round in circles, treading the same old pointless paths, repeating the same old sterile mantras - which some on this forum seem quite incapable of even considering - we need to break out from the vicious circle.

Cyprus did say that if the Cyprus Problem is solved then it will not have any objections for the EU accession of Turkey.

Did Turkey ever say that if it enters the EU she will remove her troops and respect the sovereignty of Republic of Cyprus? No.

So even if we did give way first, the Turks never even said that they would give way second.

Turkey did say that if ever a lasting solution is found which guarantees our safety she will leave, obviously that wont work for you because you would first have to pull your head out of your arse and see that Turkey is here because our neighbours really can be violent bastards and Turkey is not here to stay.

Plus I know all about the EU spirit and I can tell you for sure that it does not exist in Cyprus, the only reason corrupt "ROC" ever made it in there was because the Greeks have been the historical suck ups of the European big boys, that's all.

Why else would a corrupt country which doesn't even fall into "Europe" be in the EU?

If history is anything to go by, the safety issue is not that of the Turkish Cypriots from the Greek Cypriots, but that of the Greek Cypriots from the Turkish Cypriots collaborating with Turks.

Depends on who writes "history".

It's written by the UN and records thousands of GC victims versus one hundred odd TC victims so think again! Who really needs safety?
