The trouble with that statement, Oracle, is that you don't regard Turks as human...

They don't behave how I expect Humans to behave, that is true! But I accept they are not as nice as lower animals, so Human they must be! Who else can be so cruel? ... but a barbarian Human! Yup, unfortunately, Human they are; and they cannot claim extra Rights for being anything else but lowly Humans!

Well you have very well proven that you can be no different when the time is right, so no need to take any of those comments seriously...

Really? So when have the ostracised 200,000 GCs forced to flee from their homes at gunpoint behaved like Barbarians?

By appealing to Courts for justice?

Honestly shah, you have a perverted sense of ethical morality.

I was actually referring to the level of barbarism within the crimes you managed to commit in what little time and power you had at hand back in the day.

It was just a good example of what you were capable of IF you were given the chance and it was no less lower than the portrait you choose fit for us.

Nasty people on both sides doing the bidding of nasty people in both Ankara and Athens. End result: barbarism on both sides.

First of all u need to decide if they were 200.000 or 180.000 or 170.000 or 160.000 GCs "forced" to flee. What's the coorect number of GCs that displaced for their security while EOKA-B irregulars still messing around on one hand and TC berserkers aspiring to take the revenge of 1963-74 on other hand.

So would you feel better about violently ousting these people from their homes if it was (then) only 170,000 and not 200,000?

It's the 21st Century we are talking about!!

Sick ...

 u meant kiss?

That's very true, but you will never see Oracle taking a shot at the other side of the coin, EVER.

Her cleverly sculptured arguments will always be one sided and equally worthless.

Makes you wonder...

-mikkie2- wrote:Unfortunately, we, the GC's will need to compromise on certain aspects of the solution.

The TC's will inevitably have to compromise on land and property. They simply cannot justify taking people land because firstly, the TC's own much less land than GC's in 1974, secondly, this makes exchanging property unviable and thirdly fairly compensating those peole that are left will be prohibitively expensive, particularly in the current climate. It therefore stands to reason that the TC's must yield on this.

The other aspect is bizonality. Because of the EU aquis and the above facts of property ownership, bizonality will have to be diluted significantly. Therefore, the idea of a bizonal, bicommunal federation cannot work in the medium to long term.

There is also the security aspect which Turkey will also have to relent on. They will have to accept that the guarantees will have to go out of the window and be replaced by some other security arrangement, probably with Cyprus becoming a NATO member, despite Christofias opposition to this.

We then come to the governance aspects. And unfortunately, it is here where we the GC's will need to compromise. And this will probably mean that the TC share of power will need to be closer to 50:50 as opposed to 70:30 or 80:20. This may be unpalatable to many but it is perhaps the lesser of two evils.

The above is just my humble opinion.

Hello mikkie, :D nice to see u around here and with the same rational opinions besides ur usual cool behaviours. I totally agree with u and second ur above point of view. Maybe we could/should add this the political equality(Remember my "absolute political equality for all" thread?) of GCs that might choose to live in TC constituent state at least till social, political and economical integration of 2 communities achieved in a fairly good extend.

Best Regards. :D

Top 10: Signs You’ll Get Lucky

Number 10
She buys you a drink
If she offers to buy you a drink, it is a clear indication that she is confident and goes after what she wants. It is also an invitation to join her, and potentially keep her company for the remainder of the evening.

Number 9
She touches you
Body language is the key to knowing whether or not a woman is into you. If she touches you affectionately on the arm or leg in the midst of conversation, chances are that she’d like to take that touching to a more intimate place later on.

Number 8
She compliments you
Women aren’t the only ones who enjoy compliments; men like their egos fed too -- a trick most women know. So, if she’s going on a complimenting rampage about your physical appearance or the smell of your cologne, you can take that as a sign that you’ll probably get some kind of action by closing time.

Number 7
She’s making eye contact
Maintaining prolonged eye contact (i.e., longer than five seconds) with you during your conversation shows that she likes what she sees and isn’t afraid to explore it further.

Number 6
She lets you touch her
If she’s touching you, take that as an invite to return the favor. By allowing you to touch her affectionately or not shying away from any accidental touches to her hand or leg, she’s showing you that she’s comfortable with you and attracted to you. These are two probable signs you’ll get lucky by the end of the night.

Number 5
She leans in
When talking to someone they’re not interested in, both men and women ensure to maintain their personal space so the other person doesn’t get the wrong idea. So, if your woman of interest leans in while talking to you, you can interpret it as a clear sign that she is comfortable sharing her personal space with you, and probably wouldn’t mind sharing her private space with you too.

Number 4
She shares private details
A woman won’t open up to just anyone; she needs to feel comfortable and safe with the person she divulges personal information to. So, if you find yourself engaging in a conversation in which she’s sharing personal or emotional information, read it as an act of being open to receiving physical consolation from you.

Number 3
She starts talking dirty
No sign you’ll get lucky can be more clear than this one. If she starts engaging in a sexual conversation with you -- she tells you what she likes, she asks you what you like, she tells you about past experiences, etc. -- you can be sure that she’s flirting with you in the hopes of taking your relationship to the next level.

Number 2
She shows you her tattoo
Some things are only meant for certain eyes to see, especially when it comes to private features on intimate body parts, like a tattoo on her lower back or a birthmark on her breast. If she raises her shirt to show you anything of the sort, she’s giving you a glimpse of what you could have later on if you make a move.

Number 1
She splits a cab with you
If, by the end of the night, you still haven’t worked up the courage to ask her to your place, she may leave at the same time as you or even go so far as to offer to split a cab ride with you. Consider this your last chance to get lucky for the night.

So far none of the above happened yet. :( She escapes from me. She is afraid of me. She tries to drive me crazy although everytime she fails.
