Recovering Money

Postby tonysmith1934 » Fri Feb 20, 2009 10:59 am

I'm just curious to know as there is no small claims court system in Cyprus, how do you go about recovering money owed for poor work carried out by supposed trained personnel ?

I'm in a situation similar to many people that I have received messages from through this forum in relation to a certain company.

Is there a company or some other way of achieving the desired result ?

I wouldn't trust a solicitor as the experiences I have had in Cyprus of them are that -

1. They don't know the law.
2. They make it up as they go along or interpret it as they see fit.
3. Blatantly rip you off for fees on work which has been dragged out over a period of years and should have been completed in months.

Sensible replies please.

Rgds

As with any solicitor you get what you pay for. Pay a little extra and get one of the big firms to represent you.

You may not think this is sensible, but a couple of big blokes with baseball bats is the most effective.
