TALAT-CHRISTOFIAS MEETING CANCELLED

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TALAT-CHRISTOFIAS MEETING CANCELLED

Postby halil » Thu Feb 19, 2009 2:41 pm

The meeting scheduled to take place today between President Mehmet Ali Talat and the Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias has been cancelled because of the death of Christofias’ father-in-law.

The two leaders were expected to continue their discussions on the Property Issue- which is the second topic of the full-fledged negotiations launched in September.

It’s been announced that the next meeting between the leaders will be held on Wednesday, the 25th of February.

During previous meetings, the two sides presented their own principles that should guide the discussions on the property issue.

The UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor for Cyprus Alexander Downer is in Cyprus to attend Talat-Christofias meetings.
