Such generalizations can only be made by racists.

If you are talking about people then any answer would be a racist one.

If you are talking about the states/governments, it is almost impossible to find something good to say about the fascist state of Turkey, and their criminal puppet regime in Cyprus which is created by means of foreign invasion and ethnic cleansing.

Republic of Cyprus and Republic of Greece might not be perfect, but are both civilized EU members, who respect international law, and in no way can be compared to the fascist Turkish state.

Be it individually or an art or movement etc.. anything related with... For example I like Socrates, Kavafy etc...

Ok, if you are talking about individuals, then Nazim Hikmet is one. Who back in the 50s advised the TCs to join the GCs in the struggle for freedom and against imperialism.

Unfortunately the TCs instead of joining the rest of Cypriots they joined the imperialists, and the inter-communal conflict started. :(

There are many more individuals. Kikapu for example ;)

About arts I don't know. I don't have enough knowledge in this field.

Are you suggesting that I should love and have sympathy to those Turks who supported the enslavement of our island?

I have sympathy toward those who show respect to Cyprus and the rights of the Cypriot people for freedom and self-determination.

It is weird though... throught the decades from 1941 to 1974 Greece was dominantly under political persecution of neo-fascists which Grivas also was one of them. It's really hard to understand why majority of GCs gave consent to a fascits like Grivas to unite Cyprus with Greece under control of fascist-dictatorship. I believe we did better not joining EOKA's struggle to unite Cyprus with a Greece under control of neo-fascists. How could a leftist poet like Hikmet adviced TCs to join the struggle of fascist Grivas to unite Cyprus with the then fascist Greece is unbelievable indeed.

There was no dictatorship in Greece in the 50s. Things might have not been perfect, but that is no excuse to deny to Cyprus its freedom and self-determination.

Funny how it was fine for you for Cyprus to be part of the Ottoman or British empires, against the will of Cypriots, were Cypriots were mere subjects, and not OK for Cyprus to be part of a state that the Cypriots themselves democratically choose to belong and were Cypriots would be equal citizens.

The fascists in this case are those who showed no respect to the democratic wish of the Cypriot people and collaborated with the imperialists in order to deny to Cyprus its self-determination.
