A TC wins a metal in the XI Games of SSE in Andorra.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

A TC called SUKUSU Zafer has won a bronze metal in men’s 800 meters, competing under the Cypriot (RoC) flag, in the XI Games of the Small States of Europe, currently taking place in Andorra.

I am wondering however, if he had won the gold metal, what national anthem would they have played during the metal award?

The Greek one, as it was the case with the GCs who won gold metals?

Any ideas?

Mr Kifeas

If this gentleman had won his race, as a representative of RoC, then I feel confident that he would have expected the RoC National Anthem to be played.

It's a de facto anthem though. Turks can use Turkish anthem instead...

Gentlemen

Does this mean that if re-unification takes place we will need a NEW anthem?

CyR already has an anthem, if the Tcs wanted to complain about it then why they didn't do so in 1960?

Since the current RoC anthem was never agreed by both communities, yes, most likely a new anthem will be needed. The one proposed under the AP was a dirge, so I just hope they launch a new competition to decide upon one. Why don't we start the running here folks? Are there any common Cypriot folk songs to both communities that talk about the island and its natural charms? :?: Surely there must have been some at least.
