Valentines day - RIP OFF

Postby DANGAMAN » Sat Feb 14, 2009 8:27 am

Personally I think that this is not a day where people show there affection to their loved one but a day, some businesses take full advantage of the circumstances and slaughter the consumer.

Restaurants with 3 sittings - that means you have an hour to eat. You have to leave as other people will be waiting to take your table.

It would be so busy, you probably get the worse service with the highest price throughout the year.

Flowers at double the price today

Other one day gift rip-offs

Is this the only day of the year where you HAVE to show that you have feelings for another

What are you views on this?

I agree. The whole thing is a creation of those who profit from it! If you want to have some "special days" in the year then there are much better days like anniversaries which are much more personal and not just some commercial event!!

It should be re-named soft touch day. I did buy my wife flowers from a florist friend. He is selling roses bought from Holland at 16p each for £1.60 each, surfice to say I did not buy roses.

So you have your anniversary on the 14 of Feb? Is that good or bad you think?
