Old money never suffers in time of recession, credit crunch or hard times. The suppliers that supply old money follow suit, if you over speculate and survive on credit people are bound to come a cropper.
Also not all of the world is suffering, find a niche market and money still grows on trees.

What offence? That there are some good TCs out there is well known but the great majority are nothing but a bunch of treasonous garbage Ottoman remnants that have no place on Cyprus.

I dont like bragging guys but business is absolutely diabolical , restaurants closing down right left and centre , the bloody weather that keeps people from going out at nights coupled with HIGH interest rates ,
much higher than at this time last year when finance companies were competing for business .
Last week I put in two deals to a number of finance companies , the best interest rate I could get for my customers was 27.9 % and 34.9% !!!!
Both clients declined , I lost the deal , I'm thinking seriously of reducing my intake of my favourite tipple by at least 10% !!!!

Hi miltiades

I am totally phucked off with the UK, which is why I will moving to Cyprus within the next 12 months. Brown and that freak with the wierd eyebrows Darling say the credit crunch will be with us until 2010, yeah right! This is only the start of things to come. Our economy is shrinking and what is going to happen with all these poor people who have lost their jobs? It is going to become near impossible to get a job in the future with competition etc.

I was laid off 9 days before Xmas, found myself a new job on 6th Jan and started on 7th. I was again laid off 19th Jan. Made redundant both times.

There is nothing good about living in the UK at the mo.

Good luck miltiades!

I understand that certain sectors in the UK are struggling but it is not blanket coverage. There are successful businesses out there that have had a record year.
Amazon three years ago was doing well on the basis of fullfilment and continues to do well taday. They cornered the market and held suppliers and manufacturers to ransome. Now things have changed the same opportunity is offered to meduim size business across the board (web based) and theses businesses are seeing 50% growth.
I am still of the opinion if you have a product that is in demand you will still make money, fullfilment is the way forward. Forget the High St it's days are numbered, web based with small premises back up is the only way to go.
