Hi Kikapu, I think you may have read my posting a little too quickly. The Reuters report only shows reference to what SIMERINI has suggested the Turkish Cypriots are looking for in a Cyprus solution. Where, I did mention towards the top half of the posting "Check your sources in about three months time - don't bother now as I only just received this confirmation via a reliable Greek Cypriot source!".

I said that for a reason because the specific GC source advised me not to divulge too much information about this until later.......don't actually know why. Perhaps they want to warm up their GC population first - hence why I have only scratched the surface of this revelation.

Funny enough Kikapu, I haven't read your plan yet. I'll print it out and give it my attention on my way to Heathrow airport this evening.

I read your plan. Well, if you were serious about the Turkish Cypriots endorsing such a one-sided scenario, then I must say that you'll certainly need to go back to the drawing board - big time!

The new plan is more like a UNION of TWO Republic states, similar to the former Serbia/Montenegro agreement. Of what I've read so far, it's based on Dual Sovereignty, and either state will only be linked in the areas of Tourism and Sports.

There will be Co-Presidents and Two Constitutions. It can not be even remotely similar to what you've suggested purely based on the fact that the Turkish Cypriot Republic will NOT be an automatic member of the EU until Turkey becomes one first!

Well, what can I say to the above, besides, do honestly believe we'll fall for your Domination formula of living, trusting and forgetting?

Don't get me wrong Get Real, I mean I have some very good Greek Cypriot friends from both London and Cyprus, but, living together under a Greek Cypriot dominated government is just serious wishful thinking beyond any comprehension.

Unlike the British and Americans, you guys probably need, perhaps, another 100 years to evolve democratically and diplomatically before we can start laying our trust in the formation of a unified Cyprus republic without waking up one morning with our heads cutt off!

Regardless, once Dervish Eroglu becomes PM of the TRNC, it'll be good bye to the present platform, and hello to a new TRNC and a very stressed out European Union.
