I have wanted to go there since reading a biography of Paul Gauguin
years ago.

I thought it was Charles Darwin. I missed Gaugin then. :?

Is yours to go a whole night without making a mistake on Game 3 ?:D

I only make mistakes to cheer the girls up. Do you want me to prove it?

if you are talking to me, i have mentioned it before. it's no secret. i have pulmonary fibrosis, a fatal disease with no cure. it was diagnosed almost 5 years ago when i had lung surgery to take out a tumor they thought was cancer. it wasn't.
they don't know alot about PF, but what they do know is if they can figure out what is scarring up the lungs, and remove that from your lifestle, you have a better chance of a longer survival. in my case, i beleive it was all the chemicals i worked with in my career as a dental assistant. for 11 years i worked in an office that used chemical to sterilize the instuments with, and i was forced to breath the fumes--which ended up being a mixture of alcohol and formadihyde.
it's possible also that the stuff in the air from the WTC collapse also played a part in my lung condition.
at any rate, life expenctancy is 5 years after diagnosis, and i am hitting that in june. and i am doing great! no taking any medication for my lungs, but i also take amazing care of them. and it hink working with the animals -- keeping active walking dogs for 8-12 hours a day, has saved my life. the last cat scan i had--a year and a half ago, did not show any new scarring.
BUT...i also know that as this disease can progress for some people--they can be fine one day, and litterally wake up the next, so bad off that these people have to remain on oxygen the rest of thier lives.

it has been the best thing that ever happened to me! i live every day to the fullest, and take advantage of it, and i stopped putting things off.

I hadn't realised GG. You have such a positive attitude which i'm sure has helped a great deal. Great news you have no new scarring :D

Hi GGirl,

Nice to see you around. Keep your spirits up as you always do. The dogs need you. They also help keep your mind occupied.

Take care
