A bridge of friendship between Turkey and Greece.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Was Denktash really a lawyer?
I thought he was once a barrister at Lincoln's Inn Fields in London, and served in the British colonial Attorney General's office. One would imagine that he must have a law degree.
However, the following profile of Rauf Denktash:

http://www.cypnet.co.uk/ncyprus/people/ ... nktash.htm

lists under "DEGREES" four honorary degrees only. You would imagine that if he had some real degrees as well, they would be listed here.

Is Denktash a university graduate?

This question is beginning to interest me. Here is another Denktash CV, this time in Turkish:

http://www.kibris1974.com/rauf-denktasi ... ml?p=73351

Under "Titles he has been awarded" there is huge list of honorary degrees, mainly from Turkish inistitutions, but not a single real degree that you actually have to work for. I find this odd. There is even the following:

Gebze Institute of Technology
Honorary PhD, Administrative and Organisation Sciences, 17 March 1999

which is strange, because I have lived in the Turkish town of Gebze and have never heard of this Gebze Institute of Technology.

Is it really possible to practice as a barrister or serve in the Attorney General's office without actually having a law degree?

Here's a link in English of Denktas's biography from the TRNC President's Office: http://www.rrdenktas.com/kktc-cb_web_sa ... graphy.htm

At the end it says he has more than 30 honourary degrees, but no mention of an original degree. Is it (was it in the 1940s) possible to be called to the English Bar without a law degree?

Can any lawyers out there give an answer?

I do believe he went to a London Uni (Poss LSE) for 1 year. He is not qualified Lawyer. Don't know why but he did not complete.
I thought I mentioned it in one of my posts.
When will you look at those videos and tell me what they are about?

Anytime after the British took over in 1878, it was a race to the Enosis/Taksim finishing line. Denktash got there first, but winning a battle is one thing, winning the war is another. The race is still on now, as to who can win the "war" to cross that finish line. That will be the determining factor of the whole race between the TC's and the GC's in Cyprus. The question of what came first,
"the egg or the chicken" is no longer relevant. What is relevant, who will win the "war".!

What VP should be asking is between EOKA and TMT. Which one came first?
