UBP SET THEIR PRIMARY GOALS AS ELECTIONS APPROACH

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

UBP SET THEIR PRIMARY GOALS AS ELECTIONS APPROACH

Postby halil » Sun Feb 08, 2009 7:00 pm

The main opposition National Unity Party sets its goal as protecting the equality, sovereignty, freedom and prosperity of Turkish Cypriots.

At a party gathering last night, the UBP Leader Dervis Eroglu claimed that the UBP was the architect of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the creator of its economy.

What equality is he claiming to protect if he is promoting the "trnc" and against a BBF? Equality of TC's in the "trnc"?

Halil, you know very well that if UBP comes to power, they have no intention of agreeing on anything. They will drag the talks on just like Denktas did. Because it suits them as they benefited most from the non-agreement. Even young Denktas admitted that his fathers point of view was the no solution was the solution.

Considering that in all the previous negotiations, either one or the other side and some times both sides had at the negotiating table the very people who started the Cyprus problem. For the very first time, we have people who actually want to solve it. Unless the TCs have given up on the negotiated settlement, there is no chance that they would vote for UBP. Don't look at that ballot of the other day. It was done over 6 months ago, by the UBP for the UBP to stop Eroglu coming back and it failed. It was not a ballot done under the standard acceptable balloting conditions.

anything can be happen at next election peoples hopes are gone that there will be no solution in near future .People are talking promises of the EU and Un to voters.Because of no solution signals people are changing as well.
