If there is television evidence that prisoners make it to Turkey than maybe there is truth in this story. Dose anymone now how many ships transport prisoners to Turkey?

As if I care what you think of me. You have not earned that respect from me to worry about what you think, and you are unlikely ever to do so. You should feel privileged that I actual responded to your mindless posts, except I was able to get you to write in Turkish for the first time earlier today, which you always claimed that you were not a TC. You are not the first idiot I have uncovered from in trying to disguise themselves as someone else.!

My apologies to Paphitis for going off topic.!

Bananiot wrote:This is a good one. On a radio talk show the other day, Kokos Eliades, a well known rejectionist, crossed swords with one of the island's greater defeatist, Michalis Papapetrou. The subject of the chat "illegal terrorist organisations in 1963".

Eliades got very upset when Papapetrou told him that we had far more illegal organisations than the Turkish Cypriots at the time. Tell me one person you know from our community who was involved in illegal organisations that terrorised Turkish Cypriots, he asked Papapetrou.

Papapetrou, without mincing his words, said to him: Your daughter's in laws.

Necessary explanation: Eliades’s daughter is married to Yiorgadjis’s son whose step father was Papadopoulos who married Photini (Yiorgadjis’s wife), after Yiorgadjis was assassinated in 1970.

I gather she was very wealthy too. Bit of gossip.

All incidents like that should be investigated and perpetrators should be brought to justice, which ever side they are on.

Thanks very much Ali.

I will make more contributions to this thread in due course.

The 780 slaughtered GCs would have included prisoners from other prisons as well. I will get back to you all after I speak to my father in-law who was a prisoner in Adana. I seem to remember him telling me that there were only about 800 prisoners in Adana, and that most were released. Those that were not could very well be buried in that trench.

I realise that the above article is long, but can someone please translate most of it? Tim, are you able to oblige?

OK MATE..LISTEN..this guy says he actually and other town people saw lots of prisoners in 17 military trucks before this thing,,he says each truck had 60=70 people inside and he says actually most were women, kids and elderly,,there were few young among these..
also he says a military person told him that there were altogether 2500 greeks killed..but in that trench there are around 780..he says if they take him to adana he can actually find the place where they buried them..he says each bag had one corpse in it and all the bags were bloodied..
this guy says he really feels the pain and he is ready to face court and tell everything he knows if he feels safe..
this is just shockingly bad..the turkish public in turkey has to hear this..this trench can be e asily found ..it is actually closeto the town center, not in a rural area..

This news is not something new. It was firts published in 6th May 1999 by a Kurdish Daily called yeni özgür politika. The same Kurdish daily republished it.

http://www.yeniozgurpolitika.org/?bolum=haber&hid=42912

Why it didn't take much attention neither in 1999 nor now? Weird...
