BABACAN’S DISCUSSIONS IN THE TRNC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

BABACAN’S DISCUSSIONS IN THE TRNC

Postby halil » Thu Feb 05, 2009 6:39 pm

Developments concerning the Cyprus issue are to be discussed at talks to be held between delegations from the TRNC and Turkey.

The TRNC delegation will be headed by President Mehmet Ali Talat and the Turkish delegation by Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan who arrived in the Republic late last night.
The delegations will make an evaluation of the full-fledged negotiations launched by the two leaders in Cyprus with the aim of bringing about a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem.

The last meeting between the two leaders was held yesterday when the two sides presented their views and reactions to the principles set by each side.

Speaking at Esenboga Airport before his departure, Mr Babacan reiterated Ankara’s full support to President Talat’s constructive approach at the negotiations that have been continuing since September.
He stressed that the Cyprus problem should be solved within the framework of the UN parameters.
`These are political equality, a bi-zonal order and a new partnership to be formed by two constituent states having equal status` he said.
Stressing the need for the continuation of the Treaties of Guaranty and Alliance, he stated that Turkey’s position as a guarantor power should be maintained after a solution.

Before the start of the talks between the TRNC and Turkish delegations, President Talat will host a lunch in honor of the visiting Minister and his accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace.

Mr Babacan started his talks in the TRNC with a visit to the Commander of the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus Lieutenant General Hilmi Akin Zorlu.

Later, the Minister was received by Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer and deputy-Prime Minister Foreign Minister Turgay Avci.
Mr Babacan will leave the Republic this afternoon after holding a press conference.

There are a lot of pseudo-"TC"s blossoming into fully fledged Turks ....

This is why people like insan keep going on about "political equality", because they really believe nearly half of Cyprus belongs to Turkey, and they are fighting for the right to have that recognised ....

Of course, once they have nearly half, then they will make up some other excuse to want the rest.

And these are people who call themselves "TC"s  They are just trying to gain some "aristocratic" status for delivering Cyprus to the Turks ...

Traitors! Mongo-Otto-Turks!

True TCs don't go in for such crimes .... Only Turks want some "trnc".

Halil, could you please ask Mr. Babacan to tell us where in any of the UN resolutions in Cyprus -which together with UN Charter constitute the UN framework, it says that a new partnership will be formed by two constituent states, and not the two communities instead?

Furthermore, if Mr. Babacan's country is willing to formally declare, in front of the UN SC, that it is disputable whether the treaty of guarantee includes the right to a unilateral militarily intervention (read invasion) in Cyprus, and even if did so, that would have been against the provisions of a higher treaty, which is the UN Charter, and therefore would have been unlawful and invalid; then we may consider his country's “guarantorship” status. Otherwise, the Cyprus issue will not be solved, the status quo will continue, the "TRNC" will never become recognized, your community will continue to remain isolated, and Turkey will never see the entrance door of the EU.
