My husband reminded me of an old lady in his village who was so angry when her name wasn't given to her grandchild, she climbed on the roof and refused to budge and the whole village had to plead with her to come down. My sister-in-law called her son Kyriakos and told my young daughter they would call him Koullis, for short and we had to explain that wasn't a good idea in the UK.
