H.E The Prime Minister of Turkey

Mr . Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Strasbourg, 3 February 2009

Mr Prime Minister,

I just had a chance to watch on Youtube your recent and televised "skirmish" with the Israeli PM Mr Peres at Davos. Allow me to make the following brief comments:

You are quite right to get so very upset, about Israel's military invasion of Gaza a few weeks ago.

You appear though, to have a very short memory when it comes to remembering actions that the army of your country, Turkey, has taken against innocent people, in recent years.

May I remind you of the invasions of Cyprus, Iraq and the Kurdish villages of South East Turkey?

Those military actions resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries of innocent people including women and children.

In fact, the number of victims of those attacks are a large multitude of those killed or injured in Gaza.

Not to mention the extreme devastation and destruction caused by the Turkish forces to cities, to thousands of villages and to the Environment.

And of course, I should remind you of the thousands of recorded cases of rapes of women, from childhood to old age, committed by the Turkish soldiers in Cyprus in 1974.

And I should also bring to your memory the atrocities and cowardly acts of your army's execution of thousands of Prisoners of War, a gross violation of any War Ethics or International Convention.

Mr Erdogan,

If you want us to pay attention to your explosion of anger against the "barbarian " Israeli Army, then you must first condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the barbarism exhibited by the Turkish army in its aforementioned so called "peace (!?)" invasions and killings.

And you must first, if you do have so strong moral and humanitarian feelings as you would like us to believe you posses, have the courage to ask for forgiveness of all those who suffered and who are still suffering today by the criminal acts carried out by the Turkish army.

If you don't do this, then, those who know the real truth will think you are just playing games with the media for internal consumption back in Turkey.

And far from being genuine and honest, you will be seen as using double- standards to attack Israel when your own country is so guilty of atrocious acts of barbarism against innocent people.

In other words, you will be accused as being just another populist politician of high hypocritical credentials and low moral fibre.

Mr. Erdogan,

If you want to judge others, judge yourself first, otherwise you will be judged accordingly!

With regards,

Dr. Marios Matsakis

Hatred pump machine, Matsakis discovered just another material to pump and spread his and alikes self-hatred towards Turks. Let's see where would this endless circle would lead us. I'm sure Erdoğan would remind him 1958-63, then Matsakis would remind erdogan Ottoman era. Then Erdogan most probably would remind him Habil and Kabil.
