Yes, ofcourse it is. What I was thinking is, what Greek word (Cypriot Greek that is) would have been used instead of 'oksa'. Does that explain why there are no 'alternative' solutions in the Greek mind?

as said above the greek word for "or" is "η"

Ok. I thought that letter was missing from 'oksa' which would have made it 'ioksa' = yoksa. Now I got it. Thanks DT.

Kebab= Turkicised from Arabic, meaning 'hot'.

Tarama=Fish roe, Turkish

Cacik/ Tstsiki/cacik=Turkish

Houmous/Hummus= Chick pea, Arabic.
