What you have to do is put yourself in Oracles and other GCs shoes.

They have had their homes lost and resettled with foreigners to Cyprus. Would you not also be as angry? If someone came and took your home away from you and kicked you out, would you be celebrating? Why should Oracle not be angry at Turks and Turkey? Just because they had behaved in a way which was to our disadvantage, does not mean a free for all. We could have (Cypriots that is; not Turkey or Greece) negotiated a proper deal, without outside interference. The way I see things is : Turkey, ' Kaş yapayım derken, göz çıkardı'. Turkey may have been justified at the time in 1974, to send her forces in, but the days of conquest has long been gone. Turkey has stopped Enosis, now Turkey should let us negotiate a peaceful solution.

Perhaps you remember the immortal words: Ne mümkün zülm ıle bidad ıle imha-yı Hürriyet...............vb. This does not only apply to Turkish speakers. It should apply to anyone.

As my dear friend Birkibrisly always said what we need is to negotiate as Cypriots first and have empathy for each other .
I could never refer to either Bir , Deniz , Iceman , Halil or indeed any other T/C as minority.
The minority are the Zans the doesntmateers = Runaway , Yialousa and many more who do not see Cyprus as their true homeland but focus on foreign nations such as Turkey and Greece. What message are these foreign flag exhibitors sending to the Cypriots , one of unity or one of division ? One for empathy and respect or one of hatred and conflict.

We are not allowed to be angry for losing our lives and our homes and our dignity in Cyprus....Turkey Turkey Turkey.....Even our own lot have been brain washed into thinking that Greece has no say in what the "RoC" does....The GCs are angry but we have to remain subservient. Oracle has an excuse but we haven't....Lets forget the problems and let the GCs have everything..FFS

Good morning Deniz , anytime you are welcome . This weather has effected business since restaurants are having a bad time . This Monday gone , the first day of heavy snow , I walked to work and thoroughly enjoyed it. Gery did too and Doubrin but no one else. Gery said she had to come in to make my Cypriot coffee !! She has mastered the art perfectly !!

No one has denied you the right to be angry Zan. Yes, we are angry for what was attempted against us. They also have the right to be angry what Turkey did to them. Its a pity that such a sensitive guy like you uses the word 'empathy'. Perhaps you dont use that word. You should try it. The suggestion that you accuse me of being btainwashed is erroneous. My feelings of the strife in 1974 began on the eve of the Peace Operation. I knew it was not going to be a tea party.

If I said Oracle has an excuse for her postings, does not mean that we dont. What I disagree with is to gain by the use of force.

That you brand me just because I do not follow your line is sad. I am saying that we negotiate and not give our rights away and secure our guarantees regarding our security. That I leave to decent politicians.

That they should gain from our "misfortune" is what I am angry about Deniz but you don't seem to be....I value our losses the same as theirs...No more no less....There is a standoff.....No one is better or worse off than the other.....If they have our liberty then they must be prepared to give up their land.....

I can see their tactics of wanting the lot and making us feel bad working.....Miltiades is the so called "best" at at least trying to make us feel that way.....I will not allow their superiority complex to ride ruff shot over me...If they want to talk as two equal and proud people then I am more than willing...If they want to talk down to me then they had better cover up......
