This is a right moan.
Yesterday the wife and I went to the Paphos harbour about 10.30am seemed like a nice idea to sit and have a coffee or beer.
The first restaurant as you enter the harbour was about quarter full so we sat on the waters edge and waited for some service. And waited, and waited, and waited. Two waiters were walking around but took no notice of us.I went to the serving counter and tried to order 2 coffee's.
Sorry you must wait at your table.Eventually 35 minutes after our arrival we were asked what we wanted and 10 minutes later two coffees arrived.
The sun was shining and it was pleasant reading the paper and drinking coffee. I then felt like a beer, another 20 minutes of trying to get attention I ordered a beer ,to which the waiter replied you must have two ,why I asked ,O because the service is bad.No I want one thank you . Ten minutes and the can of beer arrived no glass,Iwas reading the paper so just drank it out the can.By now we counted at least 15 people get up and walk out no service they said.
Not bearing the thought of another can without glass we deceided to leave called for the bill and told 10 euros. Two coffees and ! can of beer we tried to complain and were told thats the price . We paid and left.
As locals we were disgusted with the entire experience so you can only imagine what the tourists must think.
NOW WE WONDER WHERE HAVE ALL THE TOURISTS GONE
