Thats a fair point, when we visit Cyprus we always avoid Paphos because of paying over the odds for meals etc. We would rather look for tavernas somewhere around Pissouri and surrounding villages. The price is a little cheaper, the food is great and the service is great too!
I have to admit though we went to the Brasilian on our last visit. It cost around €55 for two of us (inc one bottle of wine) but the service was top class. The waiters were very helpful and friendly and the manager even took time to thank us and chat with us for a few minutes.
