It's OK, I have seen the light. It was not the "pushto englezos" tax, but the "pushto charlie" tax!

You mean WTPh

Seriously though every so often this type of thread will pop up on forum and I cant understand why . The CTO directs that all Restaurants and Bars display their prices so if people are worried they may not be able to afford it why not check prices before eating or drinking instead of after... seems to me this would save a lot of grief

The point i am trying to make is this

Ham Omelete contains ham and eggs and cheese €8
Salad contains cucumber and tomato €10
Does not make sense
because they use the words CYPRUS SALAD
it means it has to be more expensive

And the point I'm trying to make is CHECK PRICE BEFORE ENTERING then if its too high don't bother eating there

Again I don't know what was served with the omelet but if it was with fries and side salad it doesn't sound unreasonable If it was a main course Greek salad with bread etc then i'll say its a bit OTT but nothing to whinge about......Tourist area = tourist prices

Just because you are in the tourist area
it does not give you the right
to make Cyprus expensive

Business is Business lyso- what the customer will pay will dictate the price charged. If a business is in a tourist area it will charge a tourist price.

You are in business in the market I believe! Would you sell an item for 50% profit if you know you could get 75%? A business can only survive if its customers will pay the price

I would stick to 50%
its enough
and your customer is happy
and will return
